Resolution Process

So I have been staring at this page all morning…unable to decide what to do. I have had second thoughts about doing this race (vs other marathons) and or switching years to 2014 because I plan on making a career change this year. I just can’t seem to pick and time is running out to decide.
I think it is ironic that “resolution process” is at the top of the page because I lack a firm decision to do something and this is definitely becoming much more of a “process” than I thought it was when I had “decided” to stick with New York a couple of weeks back.

no matter which you chose, you’ll feel instantly better once you make that decision! so go ahead.. walk out on the board… the water’s going to be fine.. will it be a jack-knife, a backwards flip, a cartwheel off the board,… it’s all for you to decide, and you’ll look back and wonder what took you so long!
Z, sometimes I need that reinforcement. I won’t always land on my feet and sometimes its ok, but this time, I have confidence it will work out! Thanks for always being supportive!
our best lessons many times are the ones where we fail, or we alter our plans.. seize the day, amigo! z
The last time I had to decide between registering for this year’s marathon or next year’s, I literally had an emotional breakdown in a bacon and beer bar, so I understand!
Good luck with whatever you do.
Exactly Amy…ex frickin zackly…and I am not a stress-ball! It’s just after all that went into last year physically, mentally and monetarily, I wasn’t certain what I want to do…sigh…you get it.
I’m going to pull a Dominic and say, “man up and do the marathon!” Think of how amped you were this last year…YES it’s a time committment, but it’ll be worth it. Plus, do you really want to keep pushing it back saying, “I’ll do it next year.” 2013 is your year!!!
Sheesh, tough love! You’re right too, no better time than the present!
I agree with Megan. You seemed really passionate about doing a marathon in NYC… so much that you decided to do a fundraiser for it! So that eliminates the idea of running a marathon in another city. And doing it this year means keeping momentum, not losing steam, etc. Let’s face it: like pregnancy, there’s no good time to run a marathon. Life will always be busy. You can do it!!!
Man, you guys have a way of holding a guy accountable! THANK YOU! Spot on with the “never a right time” reminder…we can always make excuses and sometimes we just have to stop and move forward! Thanks Jen!
Hey, we’re all here to encourage each other, right? Hope you can do the same for me when I need some problem solving.
